New Private Pilot @ Gopher Flying Club

Join me in congratulating Derek Gilbert who passed his Private Pilot Check Ride with DPE Barb Mack @ KANE on October 10, 2017.  He had a beautiful day for flying but a check ride is still an anxious time.  Derek did great and the best feeling of all was getting that tempory license at the end of the day.

Well Done Derek!!!

New Private Pilot @ Gopher Flying Club

Congratulations are in order for Gopher Flying Club member Mickey Baker as he successfully passed his private pilot checkride today with DPE Woody Minar.  Somehow between all the clouds, wind and rain, he managed to get it done!!!  Good job Mickey!!

The weatherman threw a couple of curves at Paul, both on the way down and back, but with an instrument rating and a healthy respect for Mother Nature, he made it safely back and shared some photos that were taken by passenger/photographer Ken Boie.

Airventure 2017 Trip in N8432L

Member Aaron Baruch flew 32L to Oshkosh for Airventure 2017. This was his first time flying-in to Oshkosh and it took careful weight & balance planning, fuel management and weather planning. Also along as passengers were his father and Mark Jaeger. Nice job captain!

On crosswind for runway 18

Camping in the vintage area near some other really cool planes since N8432L is a 1968 and is classified as a “vintage”
