Today, 32L and 4HZ departed MIC bound for 9WN2 to celebrate one of our member’s passing his private pilot checkride.  We were joined by a crew from the Yankee Flying Club.  I also posted this outing on Social Flight and got two other pilots (Steve and David) to join us.  Steve is from FCM and met us @ MIC with his T-34.  David joined us at 9WN2 after flying from Spencer, IA…..Great food….great hangar flying……At one point, there were 24 (twenty-four) aircraft parked on the ramp, in the grass…..you get the idea……

Congratulations to Gopher Flying Club member Andrew R. as he passed his private pilot checkride today with Barb Mack at KANE.  Andrew was waived off three times before today due to weather….Way to go Andrew!!!!

Congratulations to Curt B. on his first solo this morning.  Bob D. his instructor said winds were light as was traffic in the pattern.  The Tower even chimed in and said he did a great job.  Well done Curt.

On an IFR flight plan the other night coming back to KMIC and got great routing from ATC!!

After being weathered out TWICE, Dave took his checkride on June 7 and PASSED with flying colors!!
